Tom Raffield has been awarded with the Lighting Design Award 2011, from the Lighting Association. He was chosen from over 50 entries, beating several of the larger international lighting companies to receive the prize.
All of Toms products are handmade in Cornwall by Tom and his team. The judges thought the lights stood out clearly as the best and most innovative of the entries. They also gave him a plus for his green ethics.
After the award ceremony the designer told the press how passionate he was about sustainable design and that it feels fantastic to be recognised for his work.
