The Formland Design Award is presented every six months to the season’s most outstanding new product within design, decorative accessories and interiors. The winner is selected from the products which have been submitted by Formlands exhibitors. The independent award committee focuses on innovation, functionality, design and price. The winner receives an award statuette and a marketing contribution of DKK 100,000. The Formland Design Award has been awarded since 1987.
The nominees for autumn 2011 are:
- RIG-TIG Karaffelrenser from Stelton A/S
- Slimline 2000 from AK Trading
- ALFREDO Kollektionen from Georg Jensen
- Funnel Friends from Element+
This time, the Scandinavian award committee was made up of Erik Rimmer, editor-in-chief of the interiors magazine ‘Bo Bedre’, creative manager Jørn Moesgård and Lotta Ahlvar director of the organization Swedish Designers.
The winner will be announced 18th of August.
