The interior design magazine and design label have created an award to raise the bar for furniture and interior design to an all-new level. Combining the interests of both organizations, the Frame Moooi Award will target interior designers and architects with the desire to custom create a lamp or furnishing for a specific interior. There’s just one condition: these must be products that can lead a life outside the interior for which they have been designed.
The talented Philippe Starck will be judging the award, which kicks off on the 1st of September 2011, when the online application system will open, and close at 1st of December 2011. The candidates (chosen by Starck) will be revealed on the 15th of March, 2012.
The winner will be announced in April 2012 at a special award ceremony during the Salone del Mobile in Milan. He or she will be awarded with a big price - €25,000.
