An exhibition is an original statement, the result of a long journey into historic and creative research, that questions and explores the relationship between light and stone. The exhibit titled, Luce e Materia, as with a fun mirror effect, is a dialogue between opaque and absorbing surfaces and shiny and reflective ones that, depending on the light, behave like distorted mirrors, create anamorphosis and translucent phenomena.
Conceived of and created by designer Raffaello Galiotto with precious stone provided by the companies Solubema (Portugal) and Merbes-Sprimont (Belgium), The exhibition presents an engaging, almost playful, journey that encourages the visitor to explore, with increasing awe, the relationship between light and marble and the expressive power of their interaction.
The event takes place at Marmomacc in Verona, September 21-24.
