Stockholm’s new landmark

Scandic Victoria Tower
Scandic Victoria Tower

This Thursday – September 15 – Scandic Victoria Tower in Kista opens. The hotel is, with its 118 meters, the tallest hotel in Scandinavia and a spectacular sight, both outside and inside. Designer Gert Wingårdh wanted to generate a feeling of a pailette dress and has worked with a façade completely covered in triangle shaped glass and steel plates.

All the furniture is from Swiss Vitra, illumination from Italian Flos, book shelves from Danish Montana and floor from Danish Dinesen. The entire interior is choose by Vitra, and well known classics from the 50’s such as Eames Plastic Chair, Hang It All and Eames Contract table are placed both in the public areas and in the private rooms. The elevator halls are ornated by students from the Swedish school of arts Konstfack.
