In October 13-17 2011, London, Marcus Tremonto will show a new series of Augmented Reality “Lightworks” during the SUPER DESIGN exhibition at the Davenport Mansion.
“AR-Lights” are a revealing new design and art context, which step towards the future of interactive imagery, virtual spaces, and augmented reality educational tools. The new “AR-Lights” include floor, wall mounted and hanging doubled sided versions. The lights create an augmented series of images that are intractable by the user via smart phones, as well as projections via webcam. The user will be able to interact with the lights up to 4 meters away. When scanned, you will be able to spin, expand, shrink and twist the images in real time, as well as move around them, while the images stay static, in this virtual “augmented” space.
The creation of this new virtual work is furthermore a template that allows the studio to constantly change, modify and upload additional designs and experiences, without altering the pieces themselves. It is an ongoing example of the interaction with an art and design object, bringing together the visual illusions that run through all of Marcus Tremonto´s works, with a now virtual interaction by the user.
