Stefano and Roberto Truzzolillo have designed a console in solid oak. It takes the name of a traditional Malaysian boat, which is made by hollowing out a tree trunk. The console is not made of a single piece of hollowed out wood but of various components glued together so that the same lines that join the pieces contribute to the design of the object. In this way there is less removal of material during the production, less energy is wasted and raw material used.
For the Truzzolillo brothers design is exploration and experimentation, without, however, losing olden ways and the manual care of handicraft. Technology, at the service of research and precision, used to give wood new and unusual forms. Long hours of work and hand finishing make each piece unique and precious. The experience of design is born to give pleasure to the eye and to the touch - each surface is made to produce emotion.
