Danskina launches Wire, designed by Paul Linse/Studio Linse. Wire’s main features are its structure, material and colour. Wire is a combination of wool and Tencel®. Tencel is made from eucalyptus wood from a replanting project. This is the first time that Tencel is used in carpets. The unique combination of wool and Tencel gives Wire a high-tech, metallic appearance with a surprisingly soft surface. Wire occurs in seven colours and two versions: Gentle and Tough. The difference is the amount of Tencel in the thread. Wire Gentle uses basic yarn made from one thread, and the loops playfully intertwine, giving it a lively look. The yarn used in Wire Tough consists of three threads. The percentage of Tencel varies between yarns, which creates differences in colour and shine.
