Tom Raffield is an expert in steam-bending, and the photo-story shows how he first bends the outer slats which make up the frame, then assembles the frame. The flexible timber strip which is used for the internal 'tagliatelle' is shown wrapped around the bobbins which are used to tension the material. Then Tom can be seen hand-assembling each light. Every one is of course different, but within agreed parameters. Tom spray-finishes the construction before sending them back to Mark where they are assembled in batches to make the complete luminaire. Fron Mark.
