Soft concrete tables

Anna Christians at Konsthantverkscentrum has created round tables clad in fabric. Her idea was to make them similar to concrete tables, by using color and texture.

- Concrete can be soft and warm, like silk. Forgotten textile works from women several generations back inspired my work. When the soft and fragile leaves its mark in the hard concrete something happens, the meeting between two extremes fascinates me and the surface becomes tactile, Anna Christians says in a press release.
