Shape revealed only during use

Cubo was made with cellular foam rubber parallelepipeds with sections at different mechanical resistance. The seat, in a softer material, was forming, with the armrests, in a more dense material, a cubic form when it wasn’t loaded.

With this armchair the Castiglionis developed a new concept of seat where shape reveals itself exclusively during the use.
