The inspiration to the AirPlant Pod came from the plant Tillandsia. The tillandsia is an air plant, and it can´t survive standing in water. Also, it's leaves are sensitive to pools of water. The AirPlant Pod lets the plant hang freely and at the same time catches the eye with it's soft shape and colours combined with the wild sprouts of the plant. Each pod is made from natural sand colored clay. McDoweel works with different finishes and colours, but all pods are made to match. The hanger is in hemp chord.
