Reality is undoubtedly one of the greatest sources of inspiration for designers; who often are
people who look at things with a different eye. Miki Astori tackles his new 2010 piece for
Driade from the same point of wives as Marcel Duchamp with his "ready-mades". Zelight reinterprets the type of lamps found on building sites: simple, solid and equipped with a long cable. The design makes the lamp easy to move around, and it can be used outside as well as inside - or just moved when the party moves from the backyard to indoors. The rotational moulding production technique gives Zelight a playful aptitude, distinguishing it from its counterparts.
