Behind the a one year old company situated in Oslo, Norway are the two designers Torbjørn Anderssen and Espen Voll, who previously has been involved in the designcompany Norway Says. The first major launch from the duo will be a series of furniture called Eva. The line is especially designed for Juvet Landskapshotell in Norway, which is designed by Jensen & Skodvin. The Hotel has large windows, like magnifying glasses into the woods, creating a feeling of actually being out in the forrest. The Eva lounge chair has drawn inspiration from this sensation of dwelling at the forrest floor amongst mossy rocks, ferns and tree trunks, and also from Norwegian folkloristic archetypes, such as monoblock chairs carved from solid logs. The whole outside shape of Eva is defined solely by textile. The designers has used a special knitted wool textile that stretches and contracts when you tilt the chair, leaving it visually rooted in all positions, no matter how you swivel or tilt it.
