The TransPlant project is a art project engaging 46 artist and designers in the city of Hasselt in Belgium. The theme of the project is "quality of life and experience" and raises questions about how art, design and creativity can make the city a more enjoyable place to be. The project is an initiative of the city of Hasselt in consultation with the creative agency Mooz.
In mid-September the TransPlant project want live with the the project Swing it by the artist's collective Labo. 42 unusual swings have been put out on the Green Boulevard of Hasselt and will remain there until late November.
Swings appeal to the imagination of both young and old alike and the aim of the project is to encourage encounters between young and old in Hasselt. Traditional standard swings are approached from different angles and innovative interpretations created.
