Bubbly wood

Wood is a chair by the Swedish design trio Front Design. In this bubbly chair, aesthetics and functionality combine to form a harmonious whole. The  woven covering of natural birch wood beads fills the
seat, like foaming soap bubbles, and makes for an extremely comfortable chair. The members of Front Design are Sofia Lagerkvist, Charlotte von der Lancken and Anna Lindgren. They group base their works on common discussions, explorations and experiments and they are all involved in the projects from initial ideas to the final product. Their design objects often communicate a story to the observer about the design process, about the material it is made of or about conventions within the design field.
