Avalon was created as nod towards Vernor Panton, the man that first inspired Michael Young to become a designer. Also, Young felt that the big soft upholstered tub chair sector, and especially chairs that swivel, had been static for a long time. He wanted to bring a sense of evolution to the big soft, swiveling chairs. Avalon is a serious contract piece suitable for airports, hotels and other public and semipublic areas. It is the only one-piece injection chair produced in Sweden in the last 25 years. The chair swivels and has an automatic return.
