The friendly sculpture is a result of a collaboration between LG Hausys and the designer/ artist Ora-ïto. LG is the producer of Hi-macs, a new material consisting mainly of natural stone powder derived from bauxite. The atone is mixed with acrylic resin and natural pigments, making it easy to mould by heating. The sculpture was first showed at the 100 % Design exhibition in London. The design is based on a philoshopy combining "simplicity" and "complexity", thus named "simplexity". The sculpture has a architectural feel; it's decorative and at the same time performs a higly practical function, since he structure of the sculpture reveals a seat in one unique fluid design. Hi-macs is thermoshaped and has seamless joints; qualities that Ora-ïto shows off in the sculpture.
