London based designers Meystyle invented led wallpaper; lighting integrated in wallpaper in 2004 and has produced it ever since. This year they're launching the new collection NIna. This latest designs draw inspiration from the old and new, in particular embroidery designs created by their late Grandmother – Nina. To reflect the retrospective inspiration, Meystyle has chosen to integrate traditional craft materials to compliment Swarovski crystals and leds that have become an integral part of their work. This season’s wallpapers are hand finished with gold or silver dusting to create a tactile, hand crafted feel.

Meystyle is the two sisters Ekaterina and Maria Yaschuk.

 - This collection is in many ways our most personal, and we loved sifting through our grandmother’s journals, picking out patterns and breathing new life into designs created decades ago, says Maria Yaschuk.

This year Meystyle have also slightly diffused the light produced by the leds integrated into their wallpapers, making it more subtle and ambient. The use of Swarovski crystals and gold and silver dust accentuates the impact of the lights by catching and reflecting light to create a dramatic impact. The leds are now fully integrated into the material of the wallpaper, allowing it to be pasted and hung just like any traditional wall-covering, with the added requirement of an electrical socket or switch of course.
