Designed in 1957 by Paulo Mendes da Rocha, the Paulistano armchair was for many years part of the lounges of
the famous Athletic Club of São Paulo. Developed in a narrow relationship with Paulo Mendes da Rocha himself, the Paulistano armchair is one of the two available pieces of furniture created by the 2006 Architecture Pritzker Prize laureate. Until now this armchair was accessible to only collectors. Objekto, the exclusive worldwide fully licensed manufacturer of the architect, brings to all this iconic piece of the 20th century.
A new version of the chair will be presented at the Maison & Objet fair in Paris this month. This version has a special cover made of coat of mail.
