The Swedish upcoming designer Daniel Svahn recently presented three new product prototypes at the Stockholm Furniture Fair - the clothes hanger Twig, the sideboard Row of and the screen wall Quiet Riot. With inspiration from the urban surroundings Daniel Svahn named the concept "Roaming the streets”.
Daniel Svahn got his degree at Beckmans College of Design in Stockholm, 2009. His thesis “Chinese Whispers” received lots of publicity for its creative way of using the concept Chinese Whispers in the design process. On his new designes he says:
- Cities are like living set designs with loads of shapes and colours. By walking around and experiencing the environment objectively you will see things that inspire you in a new way, things that otherwise often just pass you by. By applying these observations to my design I wanted to point out the surroundings and bring them indoors, says Daniel Svahn.
