The wooden chairs have been designed in the same way, with relatively small variations, for over 150 years. Turned, round pegs attached to the drilled holes in the seat. With Pinocchio, Mats Theselius wanted to refine this piece of furniture which we all know well.
As he describes it himself:
- This chair version does nothing to conceal its design, which consists of some round and square pieces of wood that still make the chair "come to life" just like Pinocchio.
It is so seemingly simple in its expression, but the solution is an innovation.
The Pinocchio series premiered at the Stockholm Furniture Fair in February and consists of tables, chairs and high chair. The material used is birch and linoleum.
