Ceramic moneybox

When we were little we learned how to save all our coins inside terracotta moneyboxes. To grab the money, we did not mind if our little box goes into thousand of pieces, given also that it was not so beautiful and often it contained much more money than we remembered. Along the line that keeps us counting money even at 40, Soldino ceramic moneybox by Diamantini&Domeniconi was born, little and graceful, designed by Giovanni Levanti.

The moneybox shape reminds that of a pinecone, a symbol of fertility. Colours are inspired by semiprecious stones, like Moon stone , Amber, Turquoise, Corniola ,Mother-of-pearl, Garnet and Jade, but a clear version is also available, made in Pirex glass.
