Gulp is a new piece of work by London-based artist/designer Tim Fishlock. Three thousand translucent drinking straws have been interwoven to form a dense, spherical lampshade. Formed from one continuous length of interconnected straws, you could – if you possessed a vacuum cleaner-like suction – put one end in a drink and gulp it down through the other.
Each piece takes seven days to make and is made to order. It is available in a strictly limited edition of 50 pieces.
