Flexible and functional kitchens

For the occasion of a cocktail reception at the Schmidt concession showroom in Bourgoin Jallieu, France, Laurent Daniel presented his creation of a new generation kitchen. For this event, a chef agreed to work on a uniformly backlit Hi-macs worktop.

Anne Bourcier, marketing manager for Hi-Macs Europe explains more about the worktop:

- LDC Design's use of a range of translucent material marks the start of a new trend. There appears to be a growing demand for this type of product which is flexible (it may also be lit), fashionable, hygienic and functional.

Designed entirely by Laurent Daniel, two back lit horseshoe shapes surround an item of white lacquered glass furniture to create a harmonious use of the space and the material. Non-porous, assembled without any visible joints and very hygienic, the worktop is ideal for the kitchen, the bathroom, the office and for creating objects and furniture.
