The Art Institute of Chicago's Modern Wing, designed by Renzo Piano Building Workshop, is a building dominated by a feeling of style and lightness, granting ideal gallery conditions to the visitors and the masterpieces.
A very important area of the Modern Wing is the Ryan Education Center, a prominently state-of-the-art facility that hosts education programs for families, groups, teachers, and teens.
The final choice of flooring in the center fell on a red-orange tone for the Artigo flooring: it is an exciting and stimulating colour that takes to enhance children’s fantasy, thus improving creativity during the art educational programs.
The eye-catching red floor becomes a substantial architectural part of the building, from the inside and the outside; thanks to the wide windows, all of the educational centre is fully visible from the Millennium Park, giving a further pleasant appearance to the whole structure.
