Karim Rashid designed prizeotel

The prizeotel Bremen City in the centre of Bremen has been open for a year now and was recently named as one of the best 100 hotels in Europe 2010 by Geo Saison magazine. The prizeotel was designed by Karim Rashid, who has used two of the products he created for Bonaldo in some of the areas: the eclectic Poly chair and Skip, a lounge chair.

The prizeotel concept, which consists in an extraordinary quality-price ratio, and a unique design environment, is in point of fact extremely ambitious, as Marco Nussbaum, one of the prizeotel’s founders and creators, explains:

- Unlike many other recently opened design hotels, the prizeotel is a 360° concept, and can be defined, without the shadow of a doubt, as a true Signature-Brand-Hotel. The planning was undertaken by the renowned New York designer, Karim Rashid. Rashid expressed the desire to create high design at a reasonable price. To be able to do this,
he personally chose the materials and furniture, including products he had designed for Bonaldo.

Rashid spoke about his work:

- I have always wanted to design a very inexpensive hotel and prizeotel brought the opportunity. Today, design is not superfluous, but a human necessity. Design must evolve us, and create a beautification and betterment for society.
