Lampalumina is a delicate lamp that was born from the deep interest of Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec for ceramic alumina, a technical ceramic of extreme thinness, whose malleability and its natural white colour were the sources of inspiration for the designers.
The project developed by Bitossi Ceramiche and Industrie Bitossi binds together the forces of both companies, combining the technique of ceramic alumina with the craft skills of artistic ceramics.
The choice for this technical material for a domestic use opens the path for future developments.
