"Block House" was finished by Taylor+Reynolds in june 2012. Placed in Kew, Melbourne, the house pays homage to the many houses built in the inner eastern suburb of Kew during the 60's and the 70's. By having used unadorned materials they have set the building modestly into the site. The facade is horizontal, reading as two interconnected bands. Timber oak flooring is placed against concrete blocks.
The general design is open and the living spaces flow freely from on to another.
