In Situ Studio was asked to renovate an existing Deck House north of Chapel Hill, in North Carolina. The family who will live in the house has an extended family that will visit often so the design had to accommodate fluctuating numbers of people. The primary public spaces was "peeled open", and a master suite was placed outside of the main areas, at the end of the house, attached via a glass hall.
