At the Park Brederode in the Dutch city Bloemendaal Architectenbureau Paul de Ruiter has designad a sustainable villa. The area around the villa had to be preserved as much as possoble. The basement was created on the ground floor, against the slope of the hill. The northerly and the southerly facades are largely made of glass. The villa is well insulated, it has a geothermal energy storage, a heat pump and solar collectors on the roof.
