Bees are not intelligent, but they can still build lightweight, struturellt optimized and extremely efficient hives. The technology the're using has been tranferred through geenrations of been, and perfected in that process. In a simsilar way the human cell division has developed into perfection over thousands of years. With nature's own engineering methods as a base, Il Hoon Roh has experimented with materials and created the Radiolara tables.
The designer have stretched his materials by hand, and kept whatever shape they have
naturally adapted during this treatment. Aluminum, stainless steel and glass are among the materials tested. The result is three different, highly futuristic tables. Table R ex07 is the result of il Hoon Rohs seventh experiments with natural engineering. Mathematical calculations was done prior to the creation of the table, a geometric experiment in steel and aluminum. Fabric Table R of fiberglass are available in several colors and has a tempered glass top. Coffee table Table R, finally, is made in auminium and bronze, polished to a satin matte or polished mirrored surface.
