“Ta-rae” in Korean means something like "bunched up and lumped threads or strings". Design Virus has taken the idea of ta-rae as the motif for their newest piece, the Ta-rae Lighting. The colours of the different components are chosen to resemble the  “Seoul colours” and Korea’s own traditional colours. The choice makes the Ta-Rae carry an eastern feel. The light is switched on and off simply by pulling the bobinett. The on-and-off switch for Ta-rae is made of thimble.
