The will to show off the uniqueness of rattan and an aim to make the Indonesian rattan industry live again is behind the choice of young designer Abie Abdillah to use rattan for many of his products. His aim is to give the material a new renaissance by contemporary design. Pretzel is a bench with a very specific characteristic. Abie Abdillah shows off the bendiness of rattan in this object of continuous lines. Rattan is highly sustainable material, and over 70 % of the worlds supplies comes form Indonesia.
