As part of the UMUL (Use More Use Less) project, Lamm introduces the Wotu chair. Wotu is designed by Dante Bonuccelli. The main aim with the experimental design has bent take the piece to the very edge of lightness. For this purpose, no carbon fibre or plastic foam composites with resultant environmental impact has been used. Instead, the object is made mainly from wood, chosen by the designer for its warm, malleable, renewable and completely natural qualities. The challenge has been to reduce the waste of raw material, and the solution turned out to be a new technique, now pending  patent, which uses several layers of beech wood.  The layers are folded back onto themselves and glued to create natural tubes of wood, in a manner that obtains the best ratio between the amount of material and structural behavior, as well as the least waste. The artificial tubes in wood are made from trees originating exclusively from certified forests and correctly managed in both environmental and social terms.
