Cellulose aims at improving the quality of relationships between workers by creating honest exchanges preserved of external influences. Cellulose enables an increased collective efficiency by offering a space away from the bustle and by encouraging privileged moments of confidential exchanges, creativeness and decisions.
The piece locates itself between furniture and room, it is designed for individual or small group (up to 4 people) work, or for internal or external privileged meetings. It is deliberately disconnected from any wire for it should be the space where you preserve yourself from untimely solicitations linked to phones and computers.
Many believe an open space is an inevitable solution for businesses looking for a better economy. Not only does it optimize square meters, it also enables direct connections between workers. The space should be a factor of interaction between services, reactivity and creativity. In reality, the bustle going on the actual open spaces leads to a loss of productivity. It can become more and more difficult to focus and concentrate when continuous agitation and noise surrounds you and you cannot even participate in it. The lack of intimacy and confidentiality in the working space can increase the stress that can be harmful to workers. This is what Cellulose wants to correct, in creating a space for temporary retreat.
Cellulose is made of honeycomb cardboard. It is fireproof and durable as well as highly economical.
It is designed by Paris-based designer Paul Coudamy.
